YouTube Scrapbooking Process Video

I recently uploaded a new scrapbooking process video on my YouTube channel. It starts with a photo block, a journaling block and a patterned paper block. You can see the rest of my process and the finished layout right here or over at my YouTube channel.

Two Page Tuesday: Cluster Design Foundation

I think it's fairly common to see a cluster foundation on a single page scrapbook layout, but what about a two-page design? I did just that on this layout about exploring the hidden treasures of a lifelong avid collector.

Using Debbie Hodge's Scrapbook Coach Class #13 as inspiration, I created a circle and bracket cluster foundation for my layout. I cut an 11" circle with my Silhouette and divided it between the two pages. The large doily, scalloped borders and rounded corner on the journaling block keep the organic shape flowing around the page. You can see what the rest of the Get It Scrapped! Creative Team did in the full article.

Pushing My Scrapbook Patterned Paper Story

Have you ever considered that you have a scrapbook patterned paper story? Those are the prints you are drawn to and select again and again for your layouts. My typical pattern story is simple and geometric: dots, stripes, chevrons and grids, for the most part.

This page is about our granddaughter at one day old. Isn't she adorable? The baby blanket in the photo inspired me to create this Pinterest board and push my patterned paper story to include a leopard print as part of the design. I'm happy with the result because I included just enough of the new pattern to make a statement while staying true to my style.

Go To Designs: Scrapbook Layout and Process Video

My newest YouTube scrapbooking process video focuses on a favorite page design. Can you guess what it is? The layout was created for the July Gallery over at Write.Click.Scrapbook.! This month's theme is The Great Outdoors.

If you said the Blocked Design, you are correct! This layout celebrates one of my favorite summer flowers, the Black-eyed Susan. I think they are just so happy and cheerful. It wasn't until Phil planted them in raised beds that we were able to grow them in abundance. You can find more inspiration from the rest of the WCS Creative Team right here

The process video is part of my ongoing Go To Designs Series. To see the other videos in this series, please visit my YouTube channel.
