Scrapbook Layout Storytelling: Setting

Sometimes the story behind my scrapbook photos is all about the place or places involved. When setting is key, I like the challenge of conveying that in a special way on the layout. This page, for example, is about leaving our favorite hangouts in Michigan when we moved back to Ohio.

I represented the setting in my design by cutting out the shape of Michigan with my Silhouette and filling it with a collage of photos. This composition captures glimpses of familiar spots and groups them together in an interesting way. You can see what the rest of the Get It Scrapped! Creative Team did in the full article.

  2. This is so nice. We live in Northern Michigan and I was thinking just yesterday as I passed familiar hills and roads that I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. As much as it can be monotanous at times, I would miss it terribly if I moved away. I love the changing of the seasons and the sights and sounds of my little farm town. I wish you all the best as you adapt to your new location and I look forward to seeing your many new adventures scrapped. :)
