My Scrapbooking Community

Two Peas in a Bucket is closing.

Did I read that email correctly? Wow. I can't say it is a total surprise. There had been warning signs that this might happen. But the actual announcement still came as a shock and brought much sadness. I wish everyone associated with Two Peas all the best in their future endeavors. You will be greatly missed.

The message boards were closed almost immediately, which left no time for their community to seek other venues for sharing ideas and layouts. That is very sad. In case you are searching to fill that void, I can happily and wholeheartedly recommend the Get It Scrapped! community and Creative Passion Classes.

If you visit either of these places and have questions, I would be happy to help. You can email me or leave a comment at the end of this post.

For online shopping, I will be visiting A Cherry On Top, located in Michigan, Simon Says Stamps, located in Ohio, and Scrapbook.com.

How about you? Where will you be found instead of Two Peas?

  1. I think because of the end of 2Peas, I will spend more time shopping at LSS; it's not very close, but close enough. I'll make the drive. Also, I started subbing to a kit club, so I can get stuff already built for me. I am sad because I felt a close connection to the boards, gallery and free classes. Is there a place online that provides those options? I was devastated when ScrapFreak.com shut down. I've considered opening a small scrap shop/crop spot in my hometown, but I don't know where to begin building that dream. Loans do not appeal to me you see...

    1. Hi Gabi,
Thanks for your comment! For message boards, galleries and message boards, I recommend Get It Scrapped!, which has all three. Here is more info on the FREE membership: http://debbiehodge.com/about/

  2. I will wander over to Get It Scrapped. Haven't checked out the forums in awhile but I am definitely looking for someplace else to participate and generate some good scrappy discussions. :)

  3. 2Ps closing was a shocking surprise to me, didn't see any warning signs. As far as shopping goes, 2PS was one of my top two online choices and I was doing nearly all my shopping online this year. I will miss them. I've recently discovered steals.com, and am surprised with how quickly they get good deals on lots of the brands I like. Maybe as a tribute to 2PS I will become a "frozen pea" for a period of mourning and not get anything new. I was recently in one of the big box stores and noticed they carried some things I had been buying online - so that might be an alternative too.

  4. Yeah, a little bummed to lose such a good resource. I shop at Paper Issues mostly now since I am on the DT there.
I signed up at Cocoa Daisy forums but haven't really had time to join in yet. Sounds like you have two good options to check out.

  5. I saw it coming, but I was still very sad. My last 2Peas order was the day before they started the higher shipping costs recently, so I felt very lucky to have ordered when I did. I've been at Scrapbook.com for just as long as I was at 2Peas, and I liked that there was a different vibe at each place. Fortunately, we have a few LSS around still, plus HL, Ms and Js, but they don't always have a special item I may want. I really like lots of the exclusive Simon Says Stamp merchandise, I wish it weren't sold out so often ... but that's what happens when you have amazing design team members showing the products! :) I haven't checked out Get It Scrapped ... thank you so much for sharing about them!! I will wander over! :)
