My Scrapbook Process: 3 Columns

The challenge from Get It Scrapped!: Make a page in which all (or almost all) of your page elements are arranged in 3 columns. This page is about our 2013 summer mini vacation and how we celebrated my birthday.

I initially defined the columns with photos and 4x3 pocket page cards, starting with our day on Lake Huron and ending with my birthday dinner.

The layering behind the columns is designed to ground elements to the kraft background and break borders.

The embellishing on top decorates each compartment and moves the eye around the page. You can see what the rest of the team did with their 3 columns here

Three columns is just one way to use a foundation of threes. Check out Debbie's class, Scrapbook Coach Three Acts, for more ideas and examples!
