Week with Sketches

This week was a Week with Sketches over at Write.Click.Scrapbook. Today was my turn to contribute a layout, based on a not-centered composition. Here's the sketch...

And my take on it…

I altered the sketch by:
  • adding a frame around the entire layout
  • moving the journaling below the title
  • incorporating two visual triangles, one with brown stitching and the other with red stars and hearts

You can see all the sketches and layouts for the week by clicking the links for each day.

Any crafty plans for the weekend? We're supposed to get more snow, so I'll be staying indoors, hopefully in my scrap room for most of Saturday!

  1. Oh nice - balancing an off-center sketch is no easy trick. Love what you've done. I'll keep that week of sketches in mind for February - planning on a LOAD of scrapping.

  7. I like this sketch. I have a few saved but have not worked off one yet. I'd like to try. I love the stitching on the layout and it's something (else) I want to learn. I like the sketch isn't directly in the center. You must be so excited for that granddaughter's arrival! How exciting. It is finally not snowing here this weekend but I will still be puttering around the house. Snow for the coming week tho. Enjoy your scrappy weekend! Michelle t
