I chose to make a page about my grandfather buying a brand new car for $665.00 back in 1936. Choosing a photo that dates back to the Art Deco period sets the tone. I cut an art deco arch frame with my Silhouette to highlight the picture. Rick colors, bold geometric shapes and a Market Deco font complete the look in a clean and simple style.
|Journaling reads: "In 1936, the same year he married my grandmother, my Grandpa Bump bought this brand new car for a mere $665 dollars. He looks like he's on top of the world now!"|
You might recognize this photo. I scrapped it with a different story last month in this post. The art deco treatment here is paired with journaling about the past, while the modern treatment is paired with journaling about my more recent memories.
If you want further inspiration for your own art deco inspired page, I recommend the Get It Scrapped! Pinterest Board, my own Pinterest board and of course, the Get It Scrapped! article. Ready to give this a try?
