December Scrapping Strategy

I face the same problem every December. It goes something like this: I'm in the mood to scrap Christmas, but I've already done last year's photos and this year hasn't happened yet. I'm way too busy to keep up with a December Daily or Journal Your Christmas. What's a scrapper to do?

I turn to Christmas Past, and I mean Way Past. Thankfully, I have a small collection of photos from my childhood. Turn the clock back to 1963, and here I am modeling the latest in winter fashion. I suspect my parents could not get that puppet off my hand, so thus the compromise.

How do you get into the Christmas spirit in your scraproom this time of year?

  2. Great layout...That picture speaks volumes about our childhood...when everyone had a little dressy coat to wear with their skirts or dresses...when photot were called snapshots...hen our Mums wore pearls and aprons...brings back memories!

  3. What a lovely layout. That is a perfect collection for those photos. I bet you really loved that pretty coat. Making holiday cards puts me in the spirit. Now if I could just get some spirit moving to help me address them...

  4. You've said it perfectly (and scrapped it perfectly too!). Yes, that's what I do too. I'll turn to a pile of pictures from the past and that gets the Christmas scrapbooking going.

  13. Love this Sue!! The square photos are precious and I love the layering and clustering around your pics!! I have turned to this method too, to get some Christmas layouts done, when I am out of photos from the previous year. :)

  15. Fabulous design, Sue! Love the older photos and that red coat is adorable. :) Not surprisingly - first year back in FL for Dec - I am having a hard time getting into Christmas this year. I'm working on Christmas cards and other paper crafts and hope that the spirit moves me soon! :)

  16. Aw, you look so cute in your red coat! I love all the red and green on this page, plus the little postage stamp!

I've been scrapping photos of the last few years of Christmasses this year, as it's the first year I've had brand new Christmas themed stash and it has inspired me! I'll probably keep this years photos to do next December! x
