WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO SEE HERE IN 2013
#1 Design Team Assignments
As of today, that means layouts created for Get It Scrapped!, a minimum of 4 posts each month.
#2 My Own Blog Features
I've come up with three and hope to feature at least one of them every month:
- A Peek at My Process - something I've done often this past year, so many of you will already be familiar with this. I always get such positive comments and enjoy the process of documenting my process.
- Go-To Designs - these posts will contain layouts and basic design principles that I turn to time and time again. Expect to see grids, rectangles, circles, white space, diagonal flow, alignment, balance, and the like.
- This Month In My Scraproom - this could include recent purchases, organizing updates, how I'm using my scrap space to facilitate my process. I'm constantly tweaking things and thought it would be fun to share.
#3 I'm Inspired By...
Technically another blog feature, but one for which I've created a few subcategories. The whole point is to take the inspiration that is out there and apply it, so I can learn and retain. I'll be drawing primarily from....
- the latest issue of Masterful Scrapbook Design
- older layouts in my own albums to scraplift with a 2013 twist
- all that stuff I have on Pinterest
- any classes, particularly the Guided Study Critique Workshop and Shimelle's Scrapbook Remix
Well, there you have it. Realistically, I think I can post somewhere between 8-12 times a month, or 2-3 posts per week, with periodic vacations. That's the plan, at least. I also reserve the right to add or subtract from this list as it suits my needs. This is a hobby, after all! I sure would appreciate any feedback you might have. If you like what you see, I would be honored to have you become a follower. If you let me know in the comments, I would be happy to follow you back.
Do you have any blog resolutions for 2013? Hope to see you here and on your own blogs - Happy New Year!

Your blog is one of my favorites in my reader. I enjoy what you publish here. It is always inspiring.
ReplyDeleteThanks and have a Happy New Year!!
Thanks for your kind words! I really appreciate the encouragement - Happy New Year!
DeleteThis sounds good, Sue. I always enjoy your process-type posts and I'm looking forward to spending some time over at Get It Scrapped in 2013 as well. Happy Scrappy New Year!
ReplyDeleteOh, that sounds great! I always love your process posts so will look forward to more of those.
ReplyDeleteI also love th eorganize so any posts on how someone tweaks their storage space or how they organize anything in their scraproom always interests me.
Happy New Year Sue...
I have been wondering where you got the gorgeous Christmas lights on the Town Hall blog header you are using...is it your town hall? It is fab!
Thanks for the feedback and kind words! My blog header photo this month was taken at Clifton Mills in Clifton, Ohio. Very small town, but this place has an awesome light display!
DeleteHi Sue!! Love what you have planned. No more Friday links? I'm contemplating closing my blog.. just don't have the time to keep up, but still feel like I sorta need one in the scrappy world just in case.
ReplyDeleteI do love reading other people's blogs though when I have time, yours included.
I'm taking on Project Life for 2013. That is my only major commitment, other than making as many cards as I can fit in. I've become a bit card obsessed.
I just love your blog header photo.. I must sound like a broken record, but you always have the most wonderful photo. =)
Have a fabulous New Year!!!!
Hey, Theresa! I discontinued the Friday Picks because it was just taking too much time away from scrapping. Maybe sometime I'll resurrect it, who knows. Even if you just use your blog to post your PL, that's all some people do. I know what you mean. Blogging is a commitment, but if I'm away too long, I miss the interaction! Happy New Year!
DeleteSounds like a good plan! Already a follower. Looking forward to what you plan on sharing.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good plan to me. :)
ReplyDeleteWow! Sounds like a great plan. I just want to post at least once a week which is what I do now. It may be even less this year.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great plan! I don't comment much but always enjoy your posts :)
ReplyDeleteI was very interested in Guided Study Critique Workshop when it came out but decided not to sign up. Maybe one day when I will have a little bit more time...
You seem to have everything planned out! I like this post and may have to highjack the idea. ;) I look forward to your new content! I just love your blog. :)
ReplyDeleteHijack away! Thanks for the kind words.
DeleteYou've given this so much thought and have developed a plan that fits your schedule and provides your readers with many useful and interesting topics to look forward to. I think that is fabulous!!! It is important that our blogs fit our lives. I've enjoyed seeing your process and I love the idea of the 'go to designs' Looks like building off your favorites is going to be a theme in 2013.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a well thought out plan - I might have to do some blog planning myself - some months are very hit and miss.
ReplyDeleteGreat plan, Sue!
ReplyDeleteI especially like the regular features idea, too :)
I really enjoy reading your blog and seeing your work so whatever you have planned is great. I do love your feature ideas!
ReplyDeletei also tend to enjoy more the planning and organizing phase than actually doing things, but i'm sure you'll rock it! Love the peek at my process posts!
ReplyDeleteSue, this sounds like an awesome plan! I always love to see how others organize their "stuff". We all could do it a bit better. The looking back at old layouts and lifting from them sounds fun! And as always, I enjoy your process posts! Happy New Year Sue!
ReplyDeleteYou ARE organised Sue....I haven't thought that far ahead

DeleteGreat blog resolutions Sue. I've been contemplating what I want to do also. For me, too, this is a hobby & I don't want to feel that I HAVE to do a certain number of posts or anything like that. I do have a few things I want to do each month & will share those in January.
