Design Notes:
This page started with a photo, the journaling and a title. I had no idea what products to choose or what kind of a design to use, so time to brainstorm!
- I knew I wanted to spell the word "chocolate" in brown letters
- The colors of our clothing reminded me of the Amy Tangerine Sketchbook collection
- The photo is small and would require some layering to draw attention to it
From those three starting points, my page came together. You can see more examples in this article. Have you ever used any sort of journaling prompt to dig deeper for stories?

ReplyDeleteWhat a great page & chocolate cake sounds yummy. I have used journaling prompts on occassion (most successfully in Shimelle's True Stories class).

ReplyDeleteFabulous page! The bright colors are so fun and lucky that they matched your photo so well. :) Journaling comes easy for me too but I do like to shake it up and start my layouts from a different place sometimes. 'm going to check out that site and see what kinds of prompts they have!
