A sneak at the title and journaling...
A sneak at a photo and embellishments...
...and the entire page. I used my Studio Calico August main kit, Summer of '69, for everything except the title. Love that October Afternoon chipboard!
I realized this month that summer was fading fast and I had yet to scrap a single photo from our beach vacation back in July. Time is flying - at least it seems that way to me!
To keep the process easy and fun, I selected a sketch, pulled the American Crafts Shoreline collection I've been hoarding saving for beach layouts, and created this page to introduce this vacation in our travel album.
Lovely LOs... I tried capturing some hummingbirds and it's quite diff as they are so small and fly so fast. I do agree that they are entertaining.
ReplyDeleteLove the placement of the photos in the beach LO.
Brilliant layouts!!! I am so loving the button cluster... WOW!!!
ReplyDeletedon't you just love scrappin for yourself!! i love it when that happens!! super layouts but i think my fave is the beach one!! super use of multi photos!! great job
ReplyDeleteAwesome layouts! Love how you stacked the chipboard buttons. That is just too fun! Love the fun banner too and it's cheery and perfect with the bird photos. And great beach layout too! I am an equal opportunity scrapper and will scrap anything at any time. It could mean Christmas in May or prior Halloweens in early October, as long as I'm inspired! :)
ReplyDeleteI love both pages! The fresh green on the Kraft with the hummingbird is especially nice.
ReplyDeleteLove both pages Sue... oh yes...its almost OCtober.... 2 more months or so...another Christmas!!! hugs...xoxo
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pages! Nice capture of those hummingbirds. I scrap anything at any time, any year, any season.
ReplyDeleteGreat pages - I especially like all the chipboard bits & pieces on that first layout. I don't worry about the season when I scrap, I just scrap whatever inspires me.
ReplyDeleteAmazing layouts Sue! I really love the hummingbird layout! Your button cluster is so lovely! Fantastic photos on both layouts!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, gorgeous work here. That button cluster is truly amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love that cluster of buttons - it looks luxurious and yet fresh and pretty at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI'll scrap any season at any time of year
I really like the button cluster. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThese are both fabulous, Sue!! Awesome humming bird photos and I LOVE the way you clustered the chipboard buttons!! And that Shoreline collection is one of my favorites and you really rocked it on your page!!
ReplyDeleteTwo great pages, Sue. I need to go look at that chipboard and see if I love it as much as you!
ReplyDeleteOh I love that beach layout-those chipboard letters are to die for! Great layouts!!!
ReplyDeleteI totally love how you layered those chipboard buttons and also how you matted the photos in the beach layout. Super cool layouts.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo placement on your beach page - I'm definitely a summer all around the year scrapper - winter photos not so much!
ReplyDeleteOh Sue...these are both great. Do you mind if i pin the hummingbird page. i would like to try something like it... but i am worried i will forget it after surgery.
ReplyDeleteNot sure your policy on pinning your stuff.
Thanks
Maureen
Love both of your lay-outs but especially the humming bird one. Something about that mix of colours just sings out to me. Never thought of clustering chipboard buttins before; they look so attractive.
ReplyDeleteWonderful cluster of buttons. Great use of all your embellishments.
