A Tale of Two Photos

This recent article over at Get It Scrapped! features the 2-photo scrapbook page. It contains pages with a variety of cropping and orientation choices and shows how to begin with the same crops and get different looks.

One of my favorite techniques for choosing two photos is contrast and comparison. I took pictures of the interiors of our cars and wrote about our driving habits. Placing my two landscape-oriented photos side-by-side forms a band across the page.

His List  /  My List
2008 Mercury Mountaineer  /  2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser
sleek and hi tech, six-cylinder  /  funky and retro, four-cylinder
cruise control he uses all the time  /  do I even have cruise control?
separate seat warmers for maximum comfort  /  separate seats are fairly comfy
digital clock and very computerized interior  /  analog clock that I love, interior not techy at all
hands free phone  /  what would I do with that?
gets him where he wants to go  /  gets me where I want to go

Can you think of a way to take inspiration from my page and make a layout this weekend? If you do, I'd love to know about it. Feel free to leave a link to your page in the comments.

  3. I love it when you do these comparison pages. Such fun! The black inking and letters really set this off. I'd show you a photo of the inside of my husband's truck but it might scare you. You'd wonder how many snakes were hiding in there.

  4. Fabulous layout! I love the funky fun colors. Great comparison and it's fun to save details like this. My parents had a PT cruiser for awhile and they loved it! Have a great weekend.

I did a layout many years ago about how my husband and "his" dog were alike and how me & "my" dog were alike - it showed how different we all were, but so much the same too! :) GREAT JOB!!
