March Two-Page Sketch

You can download and print this over at the Sketch Support blog. Allison posted some great ideas for using this sketch, and the Creative Team worked their usual magic. With a row of photos spanning the layout, the sketch suggested a sequence of events to me.

Along with the neutral and cool colors, I made sure to add pops of orange and yellow for energy. After all, this is a page about a football game! Here's how I changed up the sketch from the original:
  • made a 1-page layout
  • used four 3x3 photos
  • added a banner border across the bottom
  • replaced the rectangle pieces with one patterned paper strip
  • moved the journaling below the photos
  • added more banners in the upper LH corner
  • stitched through the title

If you use this sketch to create a layout, please consider adding it to the Sketch Support Flickr Gallery! (link)
