Crate Paper Restoration, Part 1

I'm finally ready to reveal my layouts using the Crate Paper Restoration line! This first two-pager shows the Edison Lab at Greenfield Village. Love these night photos Phil took; the lighting gives them a vintage feel.

Design: Sketches for Scrapbooking, Vol. 4

Other: Basic Grey Basics journaling sticker, Tim Holtz metal gears and arrows
Journaling: "In our computer age, it's always amazing to contemplate the inventions that emerged from this simple building."

This next layout is my version of Christmas Past at Greenfield Village. The photos are various scenes around the village in December, portraying holiday traditions.

Design: Sketches for Scrapbooking, Vol. 5
Paper: Crate Paper Restoration, Basic Grey Basic (background paper)
Other: October Afternoon and Slice lettering, Distress Ink on journaling strips, Basic Grey Jovial snowflake stickers

Journaling: "We greatly enjoy the stories told by GV volunteers who love historical America as much as we do!"

Tomorrow I plan to post a couple 1-page layouts using my Crate Paper Restoration stash. I really enjoyed working with one paper line for several projects. Rather than getting bored, I developed a creative flow as I progressed. Have you ever done that? What gets your creative juices flowing as you scrap?

  6. It really looks like we love to visit the same kinds of places (I've been to Old Sturbridge Village and Plimoth Plantation - and I have to say you do them a lot better than we do!)

These are both really exciting layouts to look at - I especially love the clusters of embellishments you use; and those night photos.
