My Wheels

Here is a layout I completed based on the July 21st sketch over at Sassy Lil' Sketches. It also qualifies for the Memorable Birthdays challenge over at All About Me. I'm having a blast discovering these sketch and challenge blogs. They are great sources of inspiration and a wonderful way to connect with even more scrapbookers on the web.
I love pairing an older picture with a more recent one. These photos were taken 43 years apart - yikes! Yet, I'm wearing green in both pictures. No way you could plan that! Here's a few close-ups.
In my Library of Memories system, I keep an album called Family Stories. It houses layouts using older photos, sort of a heritage type collection. So I'm pretty sure this layout will find a home there.

  1. Absolutely lovely layout! Love the photos. Fantastic that you had one of you in your younger years with your bike. Wish I had one. I loved my bike. Layout is so well done.

  8. I love your layout using the old and new photos. It is something I want to start doing more of, now that I am getting the old ones organized.

And I love your idea of an album with Family Stories. I might incorporate something like that into one of my categories for my LOM drawers.
